Womens World Cup 2014
2014 Womens World Cup, 17 Oct 2014 - 19 Oct 2014, Linz, Austria
Women´s World Cup this year will be placed in LINZ in Austria, with the top seed world no. 1 and no. 3, Ding Ning and Li Xiaoxia!

In the prospectus here: http://www.ittf.com/World_Events/201...Prospectus.pdf
it says :
Equipment:
Tables: DHS
Balls: DHS 40+ (white)
Sports floor: ENLIO (red)
I dont know if that means celuloid or plastic..

from what i remember women said that they had really hard time spinning the poly ball ... and in a meantime i heard like million people saying that h3 is just too slow for plastic ... so bearing that in mind i am really currious

Oki I decided to let you know why which player was invited to play in this years World cup (women)..
Li Xiaoxia was invited as she won World Championships.
Ding Ning was invited for winning the Asian Cup.
Yu Mengyu and Feng Tianwei were invited too for their places in Asian cup (3rd and 6th), but they had to withdraw because of injury.
(yep, bad luck, both injured)
Their places took Chen I-Ching From Chinese Taipei and Seo Hyowon from Korea.
Liu Jia - Europe cup winner.
Dina Meshref - African cup winner.
Caroline Kumahara - Latin American cup winner.
Zhang Mo - North American cup winner.
Lay Jian Fang - Oceania cup winner.
Victoria Pavlovich - 2nd at Europe cup - After her withdrawal japanese Kasumi Ishikawa took her place in the squad ;-)
Li Jiao - 3rd at Europe cup.
Ri Myong Sun - 4th at Asian cup - She couldnt accept the invitation and therefore she was replaced with Sayaka Hirano from Japan.
Lee Ho Ching - 5th at Asian cup.
Seok Hajung - 7th at Asian cup - She couldnt accept the invitation and therefore she was replaced with Jiang Huajun from Hong Kong.
Petrissa Solja - 4th at European cup.
Jiaduo Wu - 5th at European cup.
Georgina Pota - 6th at European cup.
Iveta Vačenovská - 7th at European cup.
Margaryta Pesocka - 8th at European cup. But - Margaryta was unable to accept the invitation, Hu Melek from Turkey took her place.
This has some irony in it, because Hu Melek had almost no chance to attend Womens World cup after she lost in straight games to Margaryta Pesotska at the European CupStill this way she took her ticket to the World cup. Organisators hope it was a good choice as Hu Melek was the only european woman to reach quarter finals in Paris 2013.
And finally - Wild Card - Elizabeta Samara.
So that is for the line up of the Womens World cup 2014The Following 4 Users Like Michal_Z's Post:
