This blade gives me the control I need in developing my strokes. I can feel the ball and place shots where I want them to go when I of course hit them correctly.

The downside is the speed. Even with well hit shots, I find the opposition catches up to the ball easily even when they are out of position.

Perfect blade in my opinion for starting out or just keeping the ball in play. Price is right too.

Pros
  • Great feedback
  • Long dwell time
  • Cheap
Speed: This blade is not fast at all. It is perfect for a beginner and can be upgraded by putting on faster rubbers along the way.

Control: The control is exceptional due to the high dwell time.

Open ups: Are easy to do. The ball really soaks into the blade, making it very controllable in this department.

Topspin: Topspins can also be played without a problem. But they won't be as fast as some off blades. Still you can place the ball wherever you want.
Serves: serves are easy to do and will always land short.

Receives: Receives are easy with this blade as well, as it is an allround blade.

Blocking: This is one of the strengths of this blade. The slower speed makes it easy to block with.

Conclusion: The Allround Classic is certainly a classic. There's a reason why a lot of coaches recommend this for beginners. The blade gives good feedback, which helps when developing strokes. It is also an allround blade that helps you develop your own style. This blade lets you play offensive changing up speed and spin. On the other hand you can play an allround or defensive style with it too. The blade really helps with touch shots, which a lot of beginners struggle with. Overall a very good blade at a very cheap price. Definitely one of the best options for beginners and developing players in the early stages.

This was my first blade, I really like it and still play with it sometimes.

Its perfect for beginners as it isnt too fast and provides alot of control and feeling. The soft wood gives you a longer grip time of the ball.
Perfect to make controlled topspins. On the other hand it lacks a bit power for smashing and counter hitting because you need to do a big movement.

With about 25$ on tt11 its a very cheap blade for what it is. If youd like more feeling you can get the wrb edition with a hollow grip. However be aware this doesnt work well with all rubbers. I reccomend using light rubbers with wrb blades, otherwise the head wil feel very heavy.

I hope my review helped you!

Highly recommendable for beginners and intermediate players. Found the blade consistent with overall contact. Again satifies the need of beginners in terms of spin generation while serving, looping the ball. The blade is highly durable, having been using it for more than a year. No cracks yet. Feel is quite above average for the prize. got a feeling that this blade would last forever.

Speed and power are not of top quality. Hence, I found difficulty for loops away from table against stronger players. Again, Medium hard rubbers does the job for basic loops and fore hand drive. Not ideally suitable for short games over the table like flick and chiquita.

This blade is really good for beginners who dont want a premade bat. It is really easy to control and if you hit the ball hard it is not that slow.

Pros
  • Great control
  • Beginner's blade
Greetings,

This was - and still is - my first and most used blade.

Control is the prime criterion for this blade - though it's not as "slow" as one might think. This is a excellent beginner's blade to learn the game.

A couple of coats of varnish - to protect the wood from glue - adds a bit of extra hardness to it with a concomitant slight loss of control making this almost ALL+.

Kindest regards,

James

A good blade to start off your journey of table tennis. This blades offers you control, good speed depending on rubbers of course, good feeling of the ball and on the initiation of strokes. I highly recommend this blade to anyone who is starting off or falling back on off- or + to this as this will help you redevelop your strokes to a slower pace.

The Stiga Allround Classic is a blade with much control and feeling. It is not too fast. I think it's a very good blade for players starting playing tabletennis.
In my club beginners usually get this blade, when they start playing tabletennis. They all like the blade and are very satisfied with the Stiga Classic allround. When the players get better, we usually change the rubbers (faster ones). Advanced players can also use the Stiga Classic Allround, if they prefer control in their game.
