Pros
  • Some, flex, slow for an outer blade, very much control
Cons
  • Slightly low on power if You need this.
I got this blade to test how much faster Rakza Z was compared to H3 39 provincial OS. I was playing with a Nittaku basaltec Inner.

It was a pleasantly surprised. It is a well behaved outer blade and slower than most other outer I have tested.

Rakza Z and this blade is slightly faster than H3 and Nittaku basalt inner.

It has just the right amount of flex so You get a good feel .
Lots of control and power when You need it

Due to the flex and spruce outer layer spinney shots are easy and it blocks really well.

If You are an all out power only player You will probably thing its too slow.

All in all its a great blade for an all round player.

Appelgren: 7 plies made of kiri (core ply), ayous (2+4), carbon fleece Zylon (3+5) and spruce (1+7, outer ply)
Waldner: 7 plies made of kiri (core ply), carbon fleece Zylon (2+4), spruce (3+5) and spruce (1+7, outer ply)

According to Donics website, Appelgren seems to be an inner construction and Waldner outer?

I am looking at my Appelgren and it’s definitely an outer. ..

The entire WC89 series are probably outers, Persson liked really fast blades so something else is probably making the difference because his is labeled an inner too.

Must be a typo….

In my experience the speed data is as accurate as it can be. Waldners blade isn’t rated super fast either so it may great too… But I do like some flex…
