Item details

One of the series of Zhang Jike blades. High performance model with Arylate carbon. For the all-round attacking game. Recommended for players who seek a balanced powerful attack and ease of use. Very similar characteristics to the popular Timo Boll Spirit and Boll ALC.

I can be very brief in this review.
It looks as good as it plays.
Like any ALC-wood, it has a wonderfully, crisp feeling.
This one just offers more feel than a Viscaria or Timo Boll ALC.
Also its handle is just perfect.
Recommended for every attack-minded player, who likes versatility and safety in their shots.

The Zhang Jike ALC is a great offensive blade. When playing you can create very much speed with great control. I´m using it with Tenergy 05 on FH and BH. It gives a great feeling, compared to my old Stiga Infinity VPS I felt a big difference. The only con is the price, in Germany 160 Euro. But after all it was worth it.

This blade is awesome - fantastic speed and feeling, with corresponding control. Fitted with T05's this blade creates the arc required to load the ball with as much spin as your technique allows. Blocking is solid, consistent and precise & accurate.
The feeling is impressive - the 'putaway' power in the blade is better than the Viscarias imho. All round an awesome blade - good enough for some pros I know personally to switch and use it. One of them switched after trying mine - just for a bit of fun - and ended up using it till the end of his training session and went out and got himself a few (chosen/selected) for use. Works brilliantly with the new ball - gives that extra bit of power without losing control.

Pros
  • Good looks
  • Champ's name
  • Proven formula
Cons
  • Price high
Cost more than all Butterfly ALC blades. Probably paid the extra premium for the Grand Slam Champion's name alone. But the craftsmanship and package is simply first class so the higher price is justified somehow.

Weight is manageable at a tad under 180g with Max Tenergy both sides. Well balanced and not head heavy. Crisp with slight flex and sweet amount of vibration. Got one of the best FL handle in the market. Too bad it is overshadowed by Viscaria because of the choice of ZJK.
