Timo Boll Spirit Vs Timo Boll Alc

Hello out of the two blades although they are very similar I was just wondering from people that have used these blades what one is better in your personal opinion. An Replies are much appreciated

Kidding, it is really hard to choose one over the another, many will ask you about your playing style, so this may help us to suggest something, but believe me, i heard a lot of great things about both blades, but from my very very short experience i will go with the ALC over Spirit any day, but this is just half, think about which rubber you will use as well.

Thanks for the reply mate.I am a looper on backhand and forehand but would also like something that is very controllable with good speed and good for smashing and blocking. The rubbers will be Tenergy 05 FH and Tenergy 05fx BH

Great choice of rubbers, i have exactly the same on my DHS HH3 blade and happy with it.

Well, i think that ALC is a bit faster than the spirit, and the hardness is almost the same between the two, the ply also the same just how is the material are intact is different, so you may find that both will suit your style, but from my experience i was manage to use ALC better than Spirit even for very short time, and many i see in our club are with ALC than Spirit, so you may give this a try, and the rubbers you chose are suitable for loop and attack.

Timo Boll Spirit is more head heavy. The ALC is more balanced in its weight.
