I use of (donic coach Germany) for training and (Schildkror 3stars super Germany ) for games.
and sometimes I use of donic 3 stars and double fish 3 stars and DHS 3 stars.
ALSO, my friend went to China and bring me 9number butterfly 3 stars balls( it used Moscow 2010, Original ) ( each ball to price : 5 dollar ) it is very expensive.

During 38 mm era, Nittaku wins hands down. Now it between Butterfly or Double Fish.

i agree with saif. Nittaku balls are the beset quality as they have the most balanced and heavy weight, its hard and durable.
Stag and STiga 3 stars are also very decent.
Double fish and DHS 3 stars are good for leisure games and Double fish 1 stars and butterfly training balls are the best for training as they are cheap and durable with an overall good performance =)

Old 38mmm nittaku balls were unbreakeable. Now they┬┤re not the same anymore, new balls are not as consistent. However, Nittaku balls are still one of the bests. Imo TSP are also really nice.

I think Donic 3 stars are not that bad as I can use it for a week. However, I find Stiga 3 stars are easier to be broken. They are broken in one day! But I agree that there is no soft spot.

Tibhar 3 stars for training. Nittaku were good at Australian Open pretty decent match ball. I think Butterfly have always had the rep for being the best quality ball tho

out of nittaku, dhs, double fish and thibar 3 star, I like thibar the most, then follow by double fish and dhs. It may due to that I feel that thibar is more solid and a little heavier when compared to nittaku ball.

When you get used to some ball and you play match with another one.. is not the game different?

In my club we use Stiga *** for training and matches, but some are using Yasaka training balls for training since its almost the same as the Stiga ***

As long as the ball is not too soft, it really doesnt matter to me what brand it is :D

I think Nittaku 3 star Premium (those are made in Japan) has the reputation for being the best. The Nittaku 3 stars that don't say "Premium" on them are made in China. I think both are fine but both are too expensive for my taste. I like DHS 3star and Double Fish 3star. But I think that most of the 3star balls I have tried are pretty good.

I have used Butterfly 3 Star balls that I did not like and others that I did like. YosuaYosan, I guess I got some of the ones made out of butter that had wings so they flew funny. :)

I like Nittaku and Butterfly 3 star tournament balls. I'm not a big fan of Stiga as they break easier than the others. If you're looking for cheap and decent quality for training Gambler Gold and Platinum are your best bang for your buck. As for my personal favorite ball, I would have to say I prefer the Nittaku overall.

Peace SS *** balls are the default ball of choice for Koreans. You might not get shot if you bring Champion *** Platinum (Black writing) to the club, but coming to the club with anything else is like bringing only a rifle to a tank fight - you get blasted.

Yasaka training balls look cool as the swoop of the Y covers nearly 1/4 of the ball. :) Training balls are that, lesser quality balls that dont need to be *** as they get trampled, stepped on, and pick up all the crap on the floor anyway.

I think that best ball is DHS Super Special and Nittaku Premium.

Schildkrot! Wow, a blast from the past! I used those here in the USA back in the 1960's and 1970's but have not seem them lately. We considered them to be a 'hard' ball. Maybe that was the suggestive power of the turtle printed on them. Now I much like the Nittaku and Butterfly 3 stars, the Butterfly has a nice soft feel to it. One thing I have learned, is that if a batch of balls feels too soft to you, you can put it on the shelf for a year (just be sure to rupture any plastic bags it may be packaged in) and it will outgas and become a harder ball. For at least one make of ball that is major market, the storage time before distribution is the only difference between two of their model names. :-)

This is possibly a little off topic but are the DHS 3* ball off eBay anygood? Or should I avoid they seem very cheap, but I'm after some multiballs & don't want to spend a fortune.

If they're those very cheap ones for like $20/100pcs, they are fakes. But for training they're just fine.
