Yuya Oshima was the talk of the China Open. The Japanese defeated two world top 10 players Dimitrij Ovtcharov and Chuang Chih Yuan. He also was in the 7th set against Ma Long! I just watched it now on ITTF's Youtube channel. His forehand power is very good. What blade and rubbers is he using? I screen shot this photo below but I cannot tell:

It is wonderful to see a player like Yuya do so well, table tennis needs new players taking on the Chinese and causing upsets.

Thumbs up Yuya!

Mizuno Japan has a giant photo of him holding the FortiusFT blade right on their main page. I can't post links yet since I am a new member, but try adding httpetc to the links below.

Good question, there's a clear shot of his blade at the 6th set last point... I didn't catch it clearly, but it might be sardius

It's the most important question. How can we discuss technique etc without knowing what equipment he uses.

Technique does not come into consideration until we know Oshima's blade and rubbers

I guess he is using Mizuno Fortius FT (Fine Touch) FL with both sides Tenergy.

It looks like a nice blade used by many players in the Japanese league I have read.
