No I think it's absolutely fine and it happens frequently. You want the best advice you can get and the more advice you can amass the more informed you will be. I see duplicate topics over multiple forums all the time.

You will usually find some forums are specialised and there will be more experts in certain fields, like OOAK forum has a lot of people with knowledge about pimple rubbers and defensive styles etc.

I think here is most diverse though :D

I find there is more trollism and mathematical answers on this forum, plus it doesn't help the same 5 people always reply and everybody stay out of it. In general google searches are better and there is lots of cool info all around from old or new threads. It probably doesn't help that people in general feel like replying with couple of sentences max and you just have to constantly question them to give you more feedback on a certain subject.

I actually think this site has some of the best behaved members (bearing in mind that I moderate at a different site so I see a lot). If you have an internet site someone will troll it. And the same trolls tend to pop up on every site (until they are banned everywhere, and then sometimes they re-emerge like zombies with new names --and from your last comment I think the person you are referring to has been banned everywhere else and has not quite yet worn out his welcome here, but give it time). Sites have overlapping membership, even if each one has its own characteristics or preferred topics. People have always posted same stuff in multiple places. Sometimes it is interesting to see different opinions, and if someone doesn't want to read the same topic again they won't click it.

I think your opinion about the trollism and mathematical answers is the fault a few posters, I think everybody knows who I'm talking about, but most users are kind and give valuable answers. Just ignore them.
