Really weird, Zhang lost a place although he won WTTC ok he lost China Open in the secon round but WTTC is much more worth.... Boll beat Xu and lost to Ma Long in China vs World, all in all he should lost points .... Besides I thought Ma Long would go one on spot 4: final China Open beat Boll (higher ranked) and Mizutani ...
Xu Xin dropped two places because he played CHina Open and lost in first round and lost against Boll thats unfair Samsonov did not even play a tournament ...
That was Ma Lin's month he didn't lose any match?
My personal world ranking would be different:
1-4. Wang Hao, Zhang Jike, Ma Lin, Ma Long
5. Boll
6. Xu Xin
7. Mizutani
8. Wang Liqin
9. Samsonov, Chen Qi
10. Joo Se Hyuk

Women: Li number one although he lost the WTTC Final but Ding Ning is injured so it's okay.
I would make Feng on 4. and Liu Shiwen on 5.
Gou Yue has a little crises at the moment...
P.S: My knowledge about women table tennis is not that big I only watch the matches one time(except these matches are good like WTTC 2011 final), maybe I can't remember good matches from Gue ....

but remember who the best is:

Some interesting ranking changes here, suprised that Boll is still no 2. I suppose that's just how it has worked out so must be all fair.

@BollForte Does China vs World count for rankings? Would be weird.
I find the most suprising names in the top ten always Mizutani and Samsonov. U hardly ever hear of them in pro tour events yet they are there. I wonder if Ma Lin gets a place in the OS if he keeps up his current performance level.

ofc China vs World counts ! It's a international tournament

I'm surprise that timo is still up there. He didn't participated in the China open..maybe Wang Hao's and Timo's points are way ahead of the others and the gap is quite substantial at the moment.

But that is sort of unfair to those who are like top-20. It would make it even harder for them to get into the top-10. Same with Asia-Europe and Penhold-Shakehand. Are u 100% sure they count for the WR?

In the "June" rankings that they put out after the WTTC (May 15th) I was surprised that Zhang Jike did not move up at all. He picked up points and was closer to Boll but he beat both Boll and Hao head to head and did not pass either of them. Since then though, he has not played well. Perhaps he was focused on that and now is not as focused. Ma Lin is playing well though so it makes sense that he is starting to move up. I have been surprised for months at Bolls position. What has he won? He has placed second a lot though so I guess that counts for something.

Yeah, I also wonder..
Maybe Samsonov play in the lower leagues ?
Haven't seen Samsonov participating lately..

I think Boll participates in way more tournaments than the Chinese players. It says enough that none of them could play the Pro Tour Grand Finals last year. They just don't play as much, but when they do, they get many points. Like Lin Gaoyuan now, he plays two Pro Tours and he will go up in the rankings an enormous amount of positions I think. If you are that good you can afford to skip tournaments.
