What's going on guys, heres episode 3 of the new TableTennisDaily podcast. In this episode we are joined by another Olympian, German Bundesliga player and world ranked 58 Liam Pitchford. Liam represented team GB in the London 2012 Olympics and is currently playing for Ochsenhausen alongside Simon Gauzy, Hugo Calderano and Jakub Dyjas.

In this episode we talk about Liam's career, training methods and strength and conditioning work. You may be surprised to hear what sort of weights top table tennis players can lift! Liam also talks about who his role models are and much more! We would like to thank Liam for giving us the time out of his busy schedule to talk to us. Excellent podcast. Sounds like Liam is playing very well in the German League this year. The tips on multi ball are good to.

Yeah he sure is! I wonder if this young Ochsenhausen team will dominate the German League over the next few years like Dusseldorf have done for so long.

Awesome podcast guys! Was very interesting to hear about strength in core and the stability of players shots because of their conditioning. Also enjoyed the different exercises they do before matches etc. Also good to hear his thoughts on the new balls.

Glad you liked it Ripper! Yeah I agree makes a lot of sense to have good stability in your shots so improving core will help this.

Yeh i guess obviously the stronger your core is and all muscles in the body all helps you keep balanced whilst playing a shot improving your stability in a give stroke and the consistency of that stroke
