The boost was causing his rubbers to come off. Like the CNT players who are always pressing their rubbers onto their blade in the middle of a match.
That is pretty much how I press my rubbers on when I glue up.
Okay, I do press my rubbers on in a similar way. But I am joking about the boost and rubbers curling off. But it could be that.
