Vladimir Samsonov turns 40!

Today Vladimir Samsonov turns 40 and can now qualify for the World Veteran Championships (over 40's). Incredibly, Samsonov is still a force to be reckoned with in modern TT, as he will qualify at the upcoming Rio Olympics due to his World Rankings automatically . Vladimir's World Ranking currently stands at 8, an absolutely outstanding achievement. Over the last 20 years Samsonov has been inside the World Top 10 Rankings on almost every ranking period, however in October 2013 Vladi dropped to position 15. Some suggested the Belarusian could be close to retirement however still standing invincible at the age of 40 and world number 8 in 2016 is remarkable!
