What a great start to 2017 already with the recent Europe Top 16 and the Hungarian Open! Lets not forgot the ongoing relentless Chinese Trials for the World Championships! Next week the table tennis world will see the Indian Open unfold! The second ITTF World Tour Series of the year!

The Indian Open ITTF World Tour begins on the 14th February and concludes on the 19th February. This World Tour event is held in city of New Delhi, India. In form Dimitrij Ovtcharov recent winner of the Europe Top 16 enters as the number 1 seed. Lets see what's in store in the line up below:

The second World Tour series in 2017 is action packed with a great line up! Recent European Top 16 winner Dimitrij Ovtcharov leads the men's singles followed closely by Vladimir Samsonov. Coming in at number 3, 4 and 5 are Japan's strong trio of Koki Niwa, Yuto Muramatsu and Yuya Oshima. England's Paul Drinkhall enters in at number 6 followed by Germany's Benedict Duda. Host nations Sharath Kamal Achanta comes in at seed position 11. Japan's sensation Harimoto will be looking to take out some big guns coming in at number 14 seed.

Good day for Indian table tennis.. Earlier in the day Krittwika Roy played really well but went down fighting 17-19 in the decider against JIANG Huajun of Hong Kong. Hopefully Achanta will also win.

TTD'ers might be interested in Samsonov vs Asuka Sakai at 19:45 IST. That is 14:15 GMT. That match will be live on ITTV
