My Predictions

Men Single's top seeds (Samsonov and Crisan) are 40 and 36 years old. Will the experience prevail against not-so-young players like Wang Zengyi or Dimitrij Propokcov? Samsonov is not having good results lately, it could be a good opportunity for him to get some hope for the World Championships to come.

Women Single's draw could end with Japanese semifinals, as has happened in the past, due to the constant work the Japanese Federation is doing to improve their female national team. Only the two European defenders (Mikhailova and Pavlovich) seem to have chances to upset the top seeded players.

No exceptional upset so far! Looks like we will have interesting matches in the latest rounds.

In the Men's Singles, Round of 16 JUST started, and we will have Wang Zengyi against Kalinikos Kreanga at table 2 (available at tv.ittf.com).

Women's Singles Round of 16 is just finishing: Polina Mikhailova has been defeated by Kyota Kato (4-3), and the rest of Japanese players are still in.

I am from Poland, so I would love to see Wang Zengyi vs Samsonov final. Both players are very smart and I wonder how Samsonov would deal with short pimples of Wang Zengyi.
Actually, I just checked and they played in Belarus Open final in 2014. It was 4:1 for Samsonov, so now it is time for revenge :D

Samsonov made it again, and he is the champion in the Men's Singles category! He made his #1 seed prevail.

In the Women's singles, Hitomi Sato and Honoka Hashimoto (seeds #1 and #2) reached the finals and Sato won too.
