Nowhere said that it s final but pretty sure that it will be 99% of the players.

YEah so its official kalinikos wont play also. He is stepping aside from the GNT to give sgouropoulos room to shine

Don t know why he still has so many good years and still playing on a good level in france. very disappointed by the greece association if its their decision and not by himself.

Kreanga plays mostly for money after 2004 and he has extra motivation to play good in the french champs/champions league. He is basically "semi retired" after athens olympics to devote more time to his family and he lowered the intensity and amount of training hours

Some rare super good performances here and there such as europe top 12 in 2011 and the wttc in france are normal, but he definitely does not play like he did in his 20's 30's and not only because he got slower.

It is good that kreanga retires because sgouropoulos will be the future and they have to focus on him at an early age since he has immense talent. He has to channel his "arrogance" through training though and develop a modern BH over the table

Stéphane OUAICHE (#3 player) will not play for France. He is injured. He is being replaced by Alexandre ROBINOT

Any idea what happend to mattenet exactly, just heard of some trouble with the French federation

Ouaiche not participating is a huge loss for france. He played very well this year. The current wr. is hugely based on the number of played tournaments. Mizutani is stronger than Ovcharov, but he wasn't in too much competition.

Mattenet will probably never play again in the French team. He had apparently a clash with his federation about being able to bring his own staff... Probably some insults were thrown and it's game over for him.

In addition since those incidents and his punishments his motivation and form has been going downhill. Only his wasted talent is left

I remember when Mattenet was a real danger to the top players. His game was so relentless! Would love to see him make a comeback somehow

Surely something bad happened between him and the FNT staff (CHILA in particular). It seems strange because in interviews, Mattenet always sound very nice, humble, and doesn't seem like the kind of guy to cause any trouble.

I feel very sad for him, and indeed I would be very happy to see him back to a level more truly reflective of his talent. But i might have to be satisfied with his various best-of play on Youtube for that.
