Liu Guoliang wrote on his Sina Weibo, “New experience, new challenge". Is it his farewell to table tennis or just a part time job for fun/money?

Good to see him venturing into new territory. I am sure his heart remains in table tennis.

Wow. Right there on the other end of the Yellow Sea, opposite to the Koreas. No, that's in the south, so that's really not like "exiled to a labour camp in Siberia" at all. No way. Really. Mind you, these moose bites can be nasty.

I still don't know entirely what he is doing. What is this job role?

His job right now is staying away from CTTT, sadly.

Liu Guoliang told the journalist that he is not an entrepreneur yet. He is still in sports field, changing his role from a player and a coach in athletic sports to an advocate of physical education and fitness.
He said he will watch German Open and other tournaments. He is not leaving table tennis.

I guess he was just too big of a threat

In any other country, he would be an idol and have received "life membership" in the national structure for his achievements as a player and coach
