Well, nowadays many of the ESN rubbers are sufficient enough to replace Tenergy IMO.

My T05 replacement journey went something like...

Calibra LT (4 months)
Aurus (1.5-2 years)
MX-P (2+ years)
Nexy Karis M or Plus since Nov 2016

None of the rubbers are anything like T05, there really isn't anything on the market like T05 after all these years, but I can play high enough level using may favored replacements since.

Nothing plays like Tenergy. That is why I'll go to our local shop tomorrow and buy new sheets of T05 and T64 to replace my old ones :D

The Rhyzer 48 can compete with tenergy. The Omega VII Pro also is a good alternative but it is softer and mucb faster.

Xiom tensors /as most of the ESN/ are good alternative to tenergy, in some aspect better, depending what are you looking for.

I think that it is not very appropriate to make a definite comparison between an exact tensor model and a tenergy model without clarifying what characteristics we are comparing.
For example Omega V Asia DF is looping close to T05, chopping as T80 and is safe in passive play as T64.

So it
is true that nothing plays the same as, lets say T05, but it is true that nothing plays the same as Omega V Asia DF too.

Such a valuable reply. Thanks a lot for this information.

Tibhar Evolution EL-S and MX-P for me. They're not like Tenergy, in fact I prefer them over Tenergy.

Speaking of Xiom rubbers, can those in the know please tell me: what are the differences between Xiom Vega Pro and Xiom Vega Japan?

Likewise!
I find them to have more gears, speed and control than T05, MX-P in particular.
T05 might have a little more catapult however.

Never tried Japan, but tried Pro for the first time today on Hurricane Long 3 blade and loved it!

Xiom vega japan is made for punching and countering and lacks spin

Boosted ESN rubbers. I think MXP comes closest however its faster than Tenergy but does not have as much spin.

I always wanted to see what a 1000$ racket looks like...
Seriously: I guess only Der_Echte, a man among men, would be able to make proper use of it...
But Zeio: Does that mean you generally recommend replacing a Tenergy with even more Tenergys?

zeio

Hahaha. There you have it.

The only alternative to Tenergy is more Tenergys.

True story.
Good news for us: still some matches can be won even without tenergy:p

Characteristics wise, there's nothing like Tenergy. Sadly, my outcome hasn't changed a bit by using ESN rubbers!

you can always use national neo H3 on backhand that has even more spin then 05

Well, that depends. Not many have sufficient BH power and skills to produce what it takes to get near Neo-H3N's spin plateau, which is what is needed to eclipse T05. More concretely, even FZH's BH is not that level, hence T05 there. Ma Long can, and that's exceptional. There aren't that many Ma Longs around...

Speaking of Xiom rubbers, can those in the know please tell me: what are the differences between Xiom Vega Pro and Xiom Vega Japan?

i play with the Vega Japan 2mm for about 10 months now and have tested the Vega Pro from a friend of my team.
I would say the Pro has a higher throw angle and thus makes more round ball trajectories, the Japan has lower throw , longer ball trajectory.
i play the Japan in my backhand, i would prefer the Pro for the forehand
similar speed, i think the Pro creates a bit more spin.

i never tested on the same blade though, so my impressions could be not very accurate!

Pro has less catapult, higher throw, not thaaat far away from Tenergy 05
Japan has more catapult, lower throw, kinda like the difference between Tenergy 05 and 80/64 somewhat...

Still play different than Tenergy ofc

Why not just use Andro Rasanter R47? Better in every category.

(That said... I can’t wait to try out Xiom Omega VII).

in fact i`m using the r42 and 80fx on one blade and i find them to play nearly identical ..... but the feeling is absolutely different .

What is the best alternative now for tenergy 80 in the market?
