We use table tennis rubber on the returnboard X but it is 2 big pcs rubbers. On the market returnboards are made from normal uncut rubbers laid side by side. so much less rubber edges. under the rubber we used thin and slow sponge to slow down the game. so that you can have longer rallies. It is height and angle adjustable an it is definetelly fun to play. It really helps you to improve the game.

Trust me it is always more fun to play with someone then with returnboard. But there are situations where returnboard is made for.

I see some benefits in looping practice...

Those short touch plays seem somewhat pointless as the ball just comes back with no spin.
