Hi all,

I know that today's game relies not only on spin but also speed, but, as most the professionals uses Tenergies, developing the Bryce Highspeed could not be a waste of money for Butterfly? As people are used to Tenergy series, they will always prefer the safe option, to play with the equipment they know right? Or is there some kind of player that use this rubber?

Best Regards,
Eduardo

This rubber is a strange beast.

It is indeed very fast, yet not "bouncy-fast" like some other rubbers.

I think its major problem is the price - marketed at "old Bryce price" more people would´ve considered trying it. See Rozena as a reference, it does nothing special but at least it´s a bit cheaper than tenergy and people chose it over other "does nothing special" rubbers.

a lot of people cannot fully maximize the use of it and also the spin is way much less than Tenergy.

Yeap it's true. But even no one of the pros are using it. And talking about this, if they wanted to promote the rubber, they should make Tenergies with the bryce highspeed name on topsheet and the spring sponge in white color(I know this is possible, I know a player that always used T64, and then I saw I'm with bryce and I asked him why the change, he said me that was only the name and the color, the rubber was a tenergy 64. He worked to BTY afaik).

Yes, it excels in direct, speedy game (and blocking) - but the same can be said about cheaper rubbers, so there´s no real need to buy it (at that price).

Butterfly has recently revealed the Tenergy topsheet is an extension of Bryce and Bryce Highspeed. The rubber itself hasn't changed all that much.

In the patent for Bryce Highspeed, it's said the rubber recipe and pips configuration have hit the bottleneck, hence they experimented with a thinner topsheet. I guess Bryce Highspeed could be viewed as a pilot product.

Still, the topsheet grippiness is was lower than that of Tenergy 05 and this is probably the reason why it did not sell much as Tenergy. I think the Spin Art and Bryce High. Speed are both on the extreme ends. One is extremely spinny but lacks the speed and the other is too fast lacking speed. Both properties are already available with Tenergy 05.

So we can see Bryce Highspeed topsheet with Spring sponge in the future, maybe that's what they whant to do in the Dignics Series(with the respective distance between pips, Same as Tenergy models).
