Hi Everyone,

I am traditional penholder player from Singapore.
Just recently resume playing table tennis after I stopped playing for 20 over years.
There are new development in techniques for penholder especially for backhand like RPB since I last played.

Hope to learn from the community here.

Welcome to the forum... you could search on the forum there is a Penholders thread with some discussion on this topic and I am sure you will get a lot of help ...

Another thing to think about ... if you are starting after 20 years ... why not switch to shakehand ? Its just that backhand is easier to learn with SH than with PH ...

My regular partner was a J-Pen who switched to SH approx. 6 months back .. he does have coaching .. and practices with me .. where I tried to help him a little bit ..I would say he is back to 90% of his level already ..

Thanks for the welcome and recommendation.
I did tried a bit of shakehand grip before but didn't quite like it then.

Now since I just started again I will give it a try again :)
