Two USA women are hoping to do some upsets, Yue Wu and Lily Zhang.

Go team USA! These two are solid players. They just need more time to mature tactically. I feel like there are many promising young players in the US. Sadly, many eventually give up playing professionally, in favor of stable regular jobs. I guess it's just too difficult to make a living playing ping pong in the US.

Anyone please can keep me up to date about results from preliminary rounds.

Weird to say it, but since there's no Harimoto, Ma could actually have a chance ... ;)

Don't get me wrong, I like Ma Long and all. I think he already is one of the greatest players of all time, but even if he returns in form, there's no guarantee he would win every tournament. Not just Harimoto, there are quite a few players around that can beat him.

Speaking of Harimoto, as long as he doesn't have to play Timo Boll, Xu Xin, or Marcos Freitas he has a good chance to win. Not sure if it's a trend, but Harimoto seems to struggle more against left-handed players.
