All knocked out. I was sad to see Jens getting knocked out as I was cheering for him. Gives old people like myself some hope seeing old men beating the youngsters ;)

Truls is in the final after beating Falck. One ticket to the world champs is up for grabs for the winner (Falck, Karlsson & Persson have already secured their spots).

Wait, so Sweden sends only 4 players for WTTC? If so, then why Japan, China and Germany sends 5?

Per Gerell lost 3-4 to Jon Person who then lost 3-4 to Anton Källberg. Jens lost to Kristian Karlsson, 4-1 I think.

You’re correct. We seem to have 5 spots. Unsure how the last spot will be allocated.

Most countries have 3 and then there are spots for having a player in the top 100, top 20 and host. Falck is top 20 and KArlsson is definitely top 100 so Sweden will have 5.

I just checked how it was in 2015 and 2017 and Sweden indeed sent only 4 players. I wonder what made them change that for this year.

There is no change - they probably just didn't have a true top 20 player then.

Linda Bergström won the women’s final over Matilda Ekholm. Unusual to see a defensive player winning at this level.

Truls just won the title. The future is now.

Edit: Here's the direct link to the final. You need to register/sign up but it's free (unsure if it's accessible outside of Sweden):

Wow, i really didn't think he'd actually do it, well played Truls! And that basically gave him the slot for the WTTC.

The team is almost 100% certain to be:

Falck, Karlsson, Persson, Moregard and Kallberg.

Not sure how it can be any different. And this is without even looking at anything this year.

I agree. I don't see the point in sending either Jens or Pär. Anton has the future ahead of him and has been playing well for Düsseldorf (and made it further in these championships thus over performing the other two).
