Tenergy 25

This is my first rubber review so please bare with me as I am new to this. I have recently gotten a new pair of T25 and it seems not many people have tried it. In my club no one has played with it or used it before and it seems that seems to be the case almost anywhere.
After playing with it for 2 days and a total of 12-16 hours this is my review.

Drives: Driving on T25 is very stable close to the table and can produce the same amount of spin and speed as T05. Although playing mid-distance can be very hard. After testing things out. I have found that driving a quick off the bounce is easier on this than T05.
Looping: Looping on this is hard AF. This is not a looping rubber at all.
Short-Short: This part of the rubber seems to be very underrated. I have found that this is easier, than any other rubbers I have used in the past. Like Hurricane 3, MXS, JP03, Etc. (Those grippy rubbers)
Blocking: Blocks on T25 feels very crisp and nice. Due to the bouncy nature of this rubber it is easy to get the ball back on the table nice and low. I myself am a chop blocker and I feel very confident chop blocking those 2000+ loops. It is one of the best chop blocking rubbers out there, but MXS is the best active blocking rubber I have tried.
Counters: Countering on T25 shows its true color. Holy Moly this rubber is insanely quick and can end the point directly with angles and spin. Playing a counter on this is the best. It seems to be easier to counter right off the bounce.
Backhand Chikita: This is actually a surprise to me. This rubber is made for those chikitas. The insane speed and spin on this is unrivaled. I have gotten many direct points from a 2200 rated player with this, when I normally don't . The person told me that the ball was so quick he had no time to react, when he knew it was coming. Along with receiving he said he can't underestimate the spin on it as well. This has been the best one I have used and can't wait to see how the new Dignics 05 will compare to this.
Flat-hits: Does the job, but no power or speed.
Summary of the Rubber: The T25 is a specialist rubber imo. Not made for those who have a looping or driving game. This is made for those who like to do quick off the bounce. This acts almost like a short pips rubber, but with the added element of spin. I found the rubber to be easier on the backhand than the forehand. It is quite hard to use it mid distance and far away. Backhand flips/flicks are really easy to execute. So if you are those who always flip on receive this may be the rubber for you, but if you are those who hesitate to do so than look away. This is not the rubber for you. The T25 is a very unique rubber imo. Driving is so so T05 is better, along with looping. Blocking is easier than T05. It is a really high arcing rubber so being closer to the table is better. Serving can depend on how well you serve honestly.

So this is my review on Tenergy 25. I tried my best so please go easy on me. If I have missed anything please let me know and I'll try to answer to the best of my ability. Thanks. Have a good one.

im playing close to the table with T80 (FH) and SpinArt (BH). haven't tried the T25
if you usually drive normally like others like highest peak T25 might not be for you, but if you mostly get it right off the bounce it can be. I found T25 more controllable than spin art due to the softer sponge.

i play BH off the bounce but not FH. SpinArt is not an easy rubber to play this style, a lot of intermediate players like me would prefer a softer sponge, but I've been practicing for many years with it and got a decent BH technique.

so my question is more for changing my FH rubber. But actually i think T80 is a good rubber for me. But id like to try the T25 if i get the chance to hold one

I have two sheets of T25 mounted. One is on my TBS and the other on a Dr N Matator with Mega Block on the other side. my T25 sheets are about 6 years old and still going strong. Originally I had both sheets mounted on my two Firewall+ blocking paddles but they got chipped around the edges so I moved them to paddles with smaller heads.

I have had 5 or 6 sheets of T05. I bought the first sheets when T05 was $55 / sheet. T05 is great for people that play back from the table and loop. T05 is a good fit for my TBS and TB ALC.

In general I agree with the review above. T25 feels a little harder due to the larger pips. There is more surface area for the top sheet to push down on the sponge. Other than that the T05 and T25 are the same but the small difference makes a big difference in the spin to speed ratio and the feel. My T05 would feel a little mushy whereas my T25 does not. I am still wondering why there is a T05 hard when there is a T25.

I can loop with T25. It isn't hard under the right conditions. It just takes a little more brushing than with T05 but brushing takes better timing and swing accuracy. T25 is great for close to the table play but there are other much cheaper rubbers that will accomplish the same thing.

Since I play close to the table, there is little time to loop once the rally gets going. I normally loop slow backspin pushes for openers and balls that seem of drop below net height and need a stroke with more spin than speed.

Ditto the counter hit comments. I love counter hitting looped balls that are just a little too high.

You should definitely give T25 a try. You might like it more than Spin Art Lol

I've always wondered about t25... Bad for looping but great for banana flicks? Interesting
I wouldn't say T25 is bad for looping. It just requires a different stroke than T05. The spin to speed ratio of T25 is a little lower than T05 so to achieve the same trajectory as T05 the ball must be brushed more so less energy goes into speed and more goes into spin.
