Hey guys,
I'm kinda looking for some tacky and hard rubber, but some of them people was saying that is not fast enough and need more phisical effort to make the ball go fast, like DHS H3 NEO and normal one. So what rubber's would you recommend? If you recommend some national/regional, what's the big difference for the normal commercialized rubber?

If you want a tacky and hard rubber you will have always to put a certain amount of physical effort. What I use now it's 729-08 49º. It's similar to H3 Neo Provincial, but the topsheet is a little bit softer. Great quality and very durable(around 14$) Seems it's a bit harder to hit and drive, but I gain a bunch of points in my serve and in third ball attack. It's a spin monster.

I take the risk to sound a bit obsolete, but being desperate to find a tacky, hard and fast rubber I topped quite a bit one of mine Thor's and got exactly what I was looking for. So far so good, but it doesn't mean that I will stop searching for even better solution

where'd you buy it? i was taken with dhs H3 neo national 40º, but it's too expensive, and the normal version people say that it's not fast enough, like the other normal rubber from dhs

I've tried H3 NEO Blue Sponge(One from a probably old batch and one more recent) and 729-08 Pro 47º.

The old H3 NEO BS (40º) was pretty nice. The topsheet felt harder than 729-08. It seemed easier to hit, but with 729-08 seems it's much easier to make a dangerous 3rd ball and easier to serve, maybe due to softer topsheet.

The newer H3 NEO (41º) felt not so nice. The topsheet was less tackier than the previous one that I've tried.

The 729-08 Pro felt nice, topsheet less tacky than Commercial 729-08 but was a nice rubber. Unfortunately the rubber only goes from 45º to 47º and it felt too soft for my FH, as the topsheet is soft. with a softer sponge(729 47º ~= DHS 38º/39º) and soft topsheet it feels that the rubber bottomed out on hard hits.

The 729-08 49º felt perfect to me. Tacky(I know turns the rubber slower, but it's a characteristic that I like on the rubber). It's heavy, which I also like, but I put many layers of glue and boost it. But I prefer pay around 15$ for this instead of having a free batch of Tenergy. This rubber is suits me perfectly! :)

Tested also 729 Origin 45º on BH so for FH I can't give feedback, but the rubber felt nice also!!

But I think it's a matter of taste and praticing!

The fastest hard and tacky rubber I've ever tried has been Gambler Burst Thor's Hammer sponge. I'm a low intermediate/late beginner so take it for what you will, but it's actually too much for me to handle sometimes. Spin is extremely high, I feel like it's more than Hurricanes, even on serves. Throw is higher than traditional Chinese rubbers too. No factory boosting and my sheet that's 4 months old is the same as the sheet I got a month ago.

I think a hard tacky rubber could be very fast. But not when you do not do anything, but if you put in the effort you proably can play much harder with a harder rubber than with a soft one. I know that Wang Liqin used to play with a very hard rubber.

my two cents, good value - 729 Battle II Prov or B/S if you want faster. I prefer the Prov
