Whilst the Hungarian Open World Tour has kicked off to a flying start this week, the Energis Masters will begin on Saturday 21st January 2012. This is going to be a big tournament so lets get started by discussing the seeds and the event. We can use this thread as a means to display all the latest results, videos and news from this spectacular event!

Prize Money

The winner of the Energis Masters receives a cheque of 8.000 Euro's. Second place receives 4.000 Euro's with third places as 2.000.

I am not to sure which other players are competing in this event, please let us know so we can include to the list and poll.

Liam Pitchford on his twitter account announced he is in the same group as Timo Boll and Werner Schlager and cannot wait to play them!

Backing Patrick Baum but would love to see what Pitchford can do! :)

Yeah me to, Pitchford has Boll and Schlager in his group. I hope we get videos of this! I have always wanted to see how someone like Pitchford would get on against Boll! :)

Has nobody else noticed the ominous presence of Li Ping!?
The chinese player has the easiest group, and is underrated for this event.
I would consider him the clear favorite.
Wang Xi could also pull some upsets....

he won the tournement last year, i think. he came from china to defend his title ;)
