Hello, is for service receive better Hard or Soft rubber? And I would love to hear why.

As what I can imagine - harder rubber has less catapult, therefore more control in passive push. However, ball can sink deeper into softer rubber and give me more time and control? Is this right?

For me serve receive is not a passive stroke. I do positive stabby motion on FH and choppy motion on backhand :| I have no preference regarding hardness though :/ It have been easier for me if the rubber was tacky though.

I think it depends on what you prefer. Yes, objectively harder rubbers are "easier" to receive some serves with (think slow moving high spin), but it is more demanding on bat angle and force on contact.
