He became the men's singles world champion in Yokohama, Japan in May 2009, defeating three-time world champion Wang Liqin 4-0 .. Among his other notable achievements is the three-time men's World Cup winner in 2007, 2008 and 2010, the silver medalist in the singles rank at the 2004 Summer Olympics, 2008 Summer Olympics and 2012 Summer Olympics.
