I'm more interested in his rubbers after seeing him twiddle for a smash like the chinese do.
Maybe Tibhar Grip-s(same as Haifu Blue Whale) or something like it, a bit more chinese type of rubber on the forehand?

He's pretty sure not using donic rubbers :) In the past he always played Tenergy on both sides, usually it was T05.
But recognized that, too, that he twiddles for the smash, so it could be T64 on one of the sides now or both rubbers are not similar tuned..

Maybe.. But I'll guess, to find out one of the forumers needs to meet Dima and LOOK at his racket, not just ask him :p I personally asked Appelgren once, and he didn't know lol, but then he remembered it had something to do with Coppa Platin or something he said haha!

Or you just need to find some proper photos :) I dont know if there are already some from the WTTC but from the time before (champions league, national campionships...) there are plenty of them where you see that he was usin tenergy at this time.. So i would be really surprised if he plays donic rubbers suddenly :)

Can anyone post a vid of a person twiddling? Unless it is just spinning yur bat a bit for the correct grip..?

They mean that he has turned the face of the blade so that he is hitting with his backhand rubber on his forehand. The Chinese players do this for smashing because their soft, bouncy, non-tacky Euro/Japanese backhand rubbers are better for smashing than their hard, tacky Chinese forehand rubbers.

Dima use tenergy 05 on both sides, with ovtcharov senso v1 handle (really the blade is a timo boll spirit, timo boll alc or other), many players change the handle for his sponsors, Dima (DONIC)
