Does anyone know why no Chinese under 21 players have entered the China Open 2012?

Hm that's interesting indeed. The only youngster participating is Chen Meng. And that's not in the U21 but in the normal tournament :P Also in doubles with Liu Shiwen.

It is interesting. I remember in the past Xu Xin not playing the under 21's etc. Maybe it is because they don't want to dominate everything and to give other countries a chance?

good question maybe it is not interesting for them but all in all every young professional player needs experience. even chinese super players ;)

It might be due to that those competition held only in China is enough for the youngster, especially the National Game, they said it is the toughest TT competition in the world.

May they be on a training camp or something? China should dominate, it is the CHINA Open :p

It is a shame as I though this would be the perfect event for China to showcase their up and coming new talent. Especially following the recent emergence of some exciting teenages from Japan. Maybe we will get to see them at the Harmony China Open later in the year.
