I'm looking for a new backhand rubber and i don't know what to choose...
I'm hesitating between some rubbers but maybe you guys can give me some advice about good rubbers.
-It must be soft or medium
-easy to execute an opening loop against backspin
-No tenergy because i'm not rich
-1.8 mm or max 1.9 mm because I play with a hard bat ( Clipper )

I have some rubbers in mind : rakza 7 soft, acuda s3 or s2, tibhar genius or grip s europe soft?

Please help

Im currently using Acuda S2 and S3
compare with R7 soft, Acuda lack the arc, spin, i guess
so i recommend R7soft

Hey mate!

I find Rakza 7 soft vary easy to open with and it's softer than Acuda S2. Just tried the new Andro Rasant and it is soft as well Fast as Hexer HD and with bonus feature ... green sponge :-) Andro recommend them selves this rubber for backhand. If i hadn't changed rubber recently I would pick this.

If you want more control 1.9 would be a good choice :-) not too fast I reckon...

lower than 35 degrees, rakza 7 soft is a great backhand rubber.

Yeah, it is but is it better than Rasant?

yes but u should try rakza 7, more power, a good forehand and backhand rubber.

I prefer control than power...

as ur skill level gets better, u may prefer something faster

true, my backhand is decent but not consistent enough, that's why I want to stay with 1.8mm and develop speed and consistancy...
I need a rubber with much spin, not to fast, good control and high arc...
I've read that baracuda is good for BH

I only know it's medium hard, but physically it feel a bit softer than a Tenergy 05, but when playing I feel that it generates more spin than T05.

I prefer acuda s3, good control and much spin :)
The spin is amazing much more as normaly rubbers :)

rakza 7 soft is a very good BH rubber spin is high, speed is enough and control is also high, but 1 thing i didnt like about it is its durability, 2 months of use and the bounce is diminished and chips of the edges, still playable though, s3 is also good but i prefer the feel of rakza 7 soft. just my opinion though

Don't overlook the rubbers Xiom has put out. Vega Europe or Elite might be really good for what you are looking for and it is quite reasonably priced. Omega IV Europe or Omega IV Elite also.

Europe is medium-soft. Elite is softer. Both play very well.

XP 2008 Super Power by Dawei at $7 a sheet and forget about it for 6 months.

If you're worrying about a 0.2mm difference, you might want to check out these videos:

I had Rakza 2.0 mm before but couldn't control it with my BH...
So no Xiom for me :(

If you couldn't control it, most likely it had nothing to do with the sponge thickness. If you don't want to watch the videos, their basic message is that there are many more important things than sponge thickness.

True... If I keep that in mind I think Vega Europe or Pro are good rubbers for me :)
Elite is to close to the table

haha, after watching the videos , i am more confused about the effect of rubber thickness than ever !!

also i played with a new Tibhar Aurus soft (red , 1,7mm) on a Joola K1 blade (just after placement of the brandnew rubber) and i have to say it played really well, heavy spin, good speed and good feeling of the ball, i would suggest a Tibhar Aurus soft for your backhand Scorpnox, it really is good stuff (the soft is not really soft , rated 42 degrees by Tibhar and i would agree), it is slightly softer than a regular Sriver imo (the sound version is really soft, just like a Genius sound imo)

i thought the thicker the sponge the faster the rubber will be.

Does someone uses Baracuda?

as far as i know thinner sponge will show the effect of the blade itself on the ball more significantly, thicker sponge is way around

Tihbar nimbus is good. Stiga boost not bad too. Im currently use nimbus and prefer it over stiga :-)

I have used Baracuda 2.0mm, great spin & good control, less speed (or catapult, whatever) than rakza 7 soft 2.0. Lasted me for a good 12 months if you clean after every session. I'm thinking of buying it again, my backhand pushes used to be very effective.

RITC 2000 Tack Speed seems to be awesome for such purpose..

one of my friends uses tibhar genius on his backhand and he likes it...he is very forehand dominant though so his backhand is used to set up his forehand more than anything else- i dont know whether this suits you too lol :)
