Everyone focuses on forehand strokes, forehand rubber, i kinda feel bad that people forget about the backhand. hahahaha. What do you guys think is a good backhand rubber for blocking, flicking, and sometimes looping? Thanks.

Rubbers with a hard sponge are good for blocking and flicking but a soft rubber is better for controled looping

I like soft rubbers on my backhand and I used to use Coppa JO Platin but since that is being discontinued I hear I had to find something different. I looked around and I was directed to Gambler Shadow and to me it has the same feel as the Platin, good touch, good blocking and can produce some pretty killer spin and it was only 14 bucks so can't go wrong with that

true. until I met a guy from china, old school style uses only one side, and he schooled all the 2100 players in the tournament
my experience taught me, use same rubbers for both side, and its good for all levels of players

Then you have to move and use your forehand, you have to prever the forhand instead of the back hand.

Yeah...but won't that will makes you "addicted" to your forehand? If so, your backhand will become less important with time and that will consequently get us back to the initial problem

Speaking of backhands.... Zhou Yu (one of the chinese juniors who played recently in the WJTTC) has a monstrous away from table backhand. Just watch his match against Yoshida Masaki... and Song Hongyuan too.

I prefer a harder rubber on BH than FH, at the moment I use Stiga Boost TX BH and Yasaka Rakza 7 soft FH.
