Hi everyone :)

I have been playing short pips for quite a while now and I want to upgrade my equipment to something I could use for a veeery long time. Probably something I would settle for.
I've found that I prefer softer sponge for my backhand and TSP Spectol 21 Offensive sponge will be perfect for the job.

However, here in the local stores they only stock the max sponge thickness (2.15mm). I have been reading and it seems that short pips is better @ 1.5mm up to 2.0mm sponge thickness..
I prefer not to buy online since the price is waaay higher..
I also heard that TSP Spectol once made the 2.0mm sponge version for Wang Tao but of course it has been discontinued..

My question is: Should I give it a go for the max thickness for this short pips? Is it worth it for a keeper?

Thanks in advance!

My friend who's 700ish in the world rankings used to play with spectol 21 2.15mm but had to change to haifu because the tsp broke to easily. Still he liked it a lot.
