Promotional Video for the Men's World Cup!

There also will be 4 groups, each containing 4 players, which will play each other to reach 1st or 2nd position in group to go to the draw.

And now who thinks that Ma Long wont put all, everything to win this one???
But there is Xu Xin, who at the last meeting beat Ma Long and Zhang Jike to get the title!
But we have to consider the fact, that at the last Pro Tours Xu Xin was not in a top form, though he won the last, it was not easy as expected..
Also TIMO BOLL will participate here, so we believe we will get some really exciting action in here !!!
Ma Long wants this title, I am sure, but Xu Xin wants to proove he is able to win big too!
Timo definitely will want to achieve some big upsets in here too, so we are having a big big event in front of us!!!
Dima after he got BRONZE at the Olympics, will want to show that was no coinsidence!
Chuang in the last league meeting was sooo supreeeeem, that he cannot be avoided for the title ambitions!

So, guess, who will win in the end???

Lets use this topic also for the videos to be posted and we can discuss about whole tournament ;-)

31-2010 Magdeburg (GER) .........WANG Hao (CHN)
32-2011 Paris (FRA) .................ZHANG Jike (CHN)

So.. Waldner participated at World cup 18 times, but won it just once!
Primorac participated 10 times and won twice!
Also very interesting result is from Kuala Lumpur 1981 when a Hungarian player won!
Anyways.. most wins definitely Ma Lin with 4 titles, second place share 2 players - Samsonov and Wang Hao.
2 times won Boll, Primorac, Guo Yuehua and Ma Wenge!

So this world cup will Samsonov try to equal Ma Lins 4 titles, Boll will try to join Samsonov and Hao with 3 titles and Xu Xin with Ma Long will try to get their first one!

Interesting is that Wang Liqin participated 9 times and never won a World Cup Title.. That sounds pretty bad to a chinese player.

So lets see what happens this time..

That's remarkable indeed. The legendary Wang Liqin, in all his career only won one of the three Grand Slams. If I'm correct his best OS result is 3rd even, but I'm not sure about this. 0 out of 9 is really embarassing though :O Wouldn't expect that from him.
