This is the first major World Tour series of the year! The line up is huge! Who do you think will win? Will Zhang Jike prove his number 1 seeding, can the young guns of China including Zhou Yu and Fang Bo pose a threat in the draw? Can China's Hao Shuai the recent China Open Champion make a dent in the draw. European players Marcos Freitas, Adrien Mattenet, Patrick Baum and Christian Suss will all be trying to have their hands on the trophy!

there is no vote option for zhou yu or fang bo, so i just vote for other player >.>

Yeah I had noticed this to. I had to put in the top 9 seeds as it's fair. I think Zhou Yu and Fang Bo will do very well indeed in this tournament :)

Can't wait to watch this. Always one of the best pro tours of the year. The Austrian open final 2 years ago when ma long and zhang jike went to 7 was the best match I've ever seen

Totally agree, that match and Boll vs Ma Lin in 2009 Qatar are my best Pro Tour matches ever! :)

This year we are in for a treat of matches I think TJ :)

Some noteworthy results are in already:

Fedor Kuzmin (WR 95) lost his match against Daldosso Rech (WR 378) from Italy and will need a really good result against Borna Kovac (NED) tomorrow to win his group.

Alexandre Robinot (WR 395) won his group, beating Cazuo Matsumoto (BRA) 4-1 and Jakub Dyas (POL) 4-3. Matsumoto won the Spain Open last week. Alexandre's older brother Quentin Robinot failed to start with a victory, losing 4-1 to Japan's Naoto Shibata.

Furthermore, Janos Jakab lost to home player Stefan Leitgeb (WR 696), who secured the first place in the group by winning his second match as well.
