This should be pretty interesting. In addition to Ma Lin, Xu Xin, Wang Hao, Zhang Jike playing, Fang Bo and Yan An are also in the main draw. I am interested to see how they have improved, and whether they can reach the final levels where they will have to play against fellow Chinese players.

Although I am a Ma Lin fan, I will give it to the new guys ZJK and XX.
My final vote goes to ZJK.

I think and I hope XX wins. He has so much insane potential in his game.

but yeah, in the final eight, each match has one Chinese player, and each match ends up 4-0 in favor of the Chinese players. So overpowering....

Wang Hao usually does bad against Ma Lin, so I think whoever wins between ZJK and XX will most likely beat Ma Lin in the finals

The semi-finals and the final will be very important matches for these Chinese players. Wang Hao is allowed to go to the World Championship. But the other 3 will use this tournament to gain points in LGL's book. The pressure would be highest for Ma Lin. He did poorly compared to the others in the first round of "Rotterham Express". He needs to beat WH!

From my understanding, I could be wrong, but Ma Lin already will not be representing China for the world championships. Because in the Chinese trials, he lost to Zhou Yu, Ma Long, and barely beat Zhang Chao. So he has already lost his opportunity. Which is unfortunate, since he is a great player, and had the opportunity to be the 4th player to win at least one of each of the big competitions

That would be too bad if that's the case. Thanks for clarifying. ML is always very effective in beating international players.
