Hey guys guess what, I just got my haifu oil booster ( http://ttnpp.com/shop/table-tennis-rubber-booster-haifu-oil-substitute-50ml-p-402.html ) and my tenergy 05 black and red in 2.1 ( from private shop ). I'm going to try booster on my new tenergy sheets, of course on my MM ALC blade! In few days I will make a review of how it works, if you have any questions or suggestions please be free to speak :) This is how it looks :P 3651

left is tibhar water glue, in the middle haifu oil and on the right Haifu water glue with speed efect. Haifu oil has some weird smell, I hope it's normal. And I need one suggestion more, which blade to use, left is heavy 98 g and right 92 g. HELP

quick tip. that stuff doesnt work so well the haifu substitute stuff.. i bought soem before and nada

but if you want to give it a go then there are two ways about it

1st way.... Glue first on the sponge.. maybe 2-3 layers.. followed by the Substitute stuff use thin coats on the dried glue layer this should expand the glue and make it more bouncy ...

2nd way direct aplication on the sponge.... get a glass surface apply a thin layer on the sponge.. place sponge down onto the glass surface and some weight on top , make sure to cover the whole rubber for even spread.

check after couple of hours . but as far as i remember that subsitute stuff takes two weeks to dry out..

you would have been better off buying the Seamoon .. got another container that you can seal again. pour haf into a container and top up with 1/4 -- all the way up with white spirit or turpentine . now you have double ammount of seamoon

Yeah i bought the haifu substitute also and it's not great. By the smell i assume is just some kind of cooking oil :S . The effects are almost the same as using baby oil. I think the second step mencioned by decoy brings better results because it lets the oil sink more into the sponge. On a tenergy i wouldn't use much, just 1 or 2 thin layers.

you are better off going to the local pharmacy and buying some eucalyptus oil... if you want a quick boost on the cheap

And how to use it? On the sponge as another boosters or something else? How long does it need to dry?

on sponge mainly . depends on what kind of eucalyptus bottle you get.. those that only allow for drops to come out spread out a good few to cover most of the sponge then. use your finger to spread everywhere.... while it still wet place sponge down on a glass surface to lock in those eucalyptus fumes. as it evaporates fairly quick.. if you want good permanent results get Falco Long Boost that stuff turns any rubber into a swiss roll

I don't like eucalyptus oil, it leaves a very strong smell for a long time

Is it better for new or old rubbers?

both.... if you are using it on old rubbers which have lost grip on the top sheet you can use WD40 to revitalise the topsheet somewhat
