Timo Boll withdrew on the day before the tournament due to fatigue, so Christian Süss, Patrick Baum, Dima and Bastian Steger advanced to the favourites and it indeed were those four man who fought for a place in the final. It eventually were Dima and Steger who were able to clinch their place in the final.
In a thrilling match Bastian Steger managed to catch up several defecits and concluded a perfect tournament as he also won the Men's Doubles title.
