I say many reviews in the internet comparing many rubbers, but I haven't seen any comparing sponge thickness. I always wondered what will be the difference in 1,9 and 2,1mm. Let's take two rubbers Tenergy 05 and Tenergy 80 and let's leave other things like trajectory etc. Butterfly says that t80 is little bit faster then t05 but let's take t05 in 2,1mm and t80 in 1,9 mm, which one will be faster now and how big the difference is? Maybe someone has some test, it does not have to be butterfly.

the same thought that i have, if i may add, how about the feel (Hard or soft)...but maybe before that, which is measured soft and hard, is it the sponge or the rubber top sheet? what is the rationale or rule of thumb of thickness and feel of the rubbers/sponge? what i know is, the softer the bouncier...

back to Sali's query, which of these rubbers (t80, t05) is hard and soft, does faster means softer, since it is bouncier? what is the relationship of sponge thickness and feel (hard/soft)?
