I have a few questions about the video.

Why is it important to brush the glue in the same direction?

Why would you want to let the glue dry a bit first before putting it on?
Does it create better adhesion?

Yes, if you brush in the same direction, the glue will be more level after it become dry.

You are right. It create better adhesion after the glue is dried.

With really watery glue, I tend to brush horrizontal and vertical to spread it evenly, then I will do one last one all in the same direction.

If the glue is thick - then it is difficult to level/even out, and the problem is that you will have uneven surface and even bumps on your playing surface.

The glue need to be totally dry, otherwise when wet, the bond is not really strong.
Some times your environment may cause the glue to dry very slowly, then I would recommend a few seconds under the hair dryer (heat).

Normally all glues become totally transparent/see through - coming from a creaming/white colour. Normally if you touch the glue at this stage, it is pretty sticky.

Nice video bbll and very nice cut, love the stock you have in the background :)
