Hi All,
I'm planning to go to see the German Open to Magdeburg on 26-30 of March.
It would be the first time for me to go in a kind of event like that.
Can you guys tell me some information about:
- seeing that there is not the entry list yet, do you think that the bigger players will play it?
- how it works the event
- when the ticket will be available and where I can buy it
- if it possible to buy a kind of subscription to get access more than one day
- if you know a cheap place to stay there
Sorry if are so many question, but it would be the first time and I'm quite excited.

Thanks in advance
Federico

Tickets can be bought here: http://www.tischtennis-tickets.de/GermanOpen2014/Eintrittskarten/

Usually there's a nice competition with good players. You can check out the seeding lists of previous years:
http://www.ittf.com/ittf_tournament...der=M&Tour_ID=2258&Singles=1&Seeded_Singles=1 (2013)
http://www.ittf.com/ittf_tournament...der=M&Tour_ID=2181&Singles=1&Seeded_Singles=1 (2012)

World tour events start with qualification groups for the non-seeded players after which the main draw (knock-out system) starts with seeded and qualified players.

Big event indeed. But this year's German Open is only a month before the WTTTC. I don't think the Chinese will send their best. Home players most probably will join.

Many thanks for the info.
Which PRO Tour do you think it is worth going to see, then?
I would like to avoid world cup or something like that, because when I went to the Olympics in London, the prize was very high and just for a little time (2 hours) instead for this event there should be the possibility to get a daily ticket.. Please, correct me if I'm wrong.

Olympics are very expensive I think. I went to the WTTC in 2011, and day tickets for the last two days (Doubles (semi) finals, Women's (semi) finals, Men's (quarter/semi) finals) were about €25,- each.
The Men's World Cup this year is held in Düsseldorf, Germany. In 2013 a day ticket for sunday (semi finals, 3rd place and final) was €20,-.
