I suppose that this what Sharara means by slowing the game, that is, turn each game into a scene from the matrix
Anyway notice how the slow motion shows that these players serve quite legally although in real-time, the serves may appear dodgy to some.

Plastic balls are a big issue. I think the decision should have been more collegiate. Hope it will do more good than bad.

I have only recently noticed an interesting and funny peculiarity of Liu Shiwen's behaviour. Just pay attention to her left hand when she's in action.
When playing Shiwen puts her thumb, ring-finger and little finger together to leave the rest ones in an upright position forming a kind of Victoria sign V. Then, while serving she does not have that sign because she needs her left hand to put the ball into the game but as soon as she has served Liu turns around and here we go - her left hand fingers take on the same position V I wrote about
