I read it wrong, I tought you ment the blue thing on the red rubber, and that is of damage after years.
I looked on the bat again and yes its black ink on the wood.

Word of advice for you, you should get rubber protectors. Semi-related to this I got my electric guitar signed by Michael Angelo Batio 3 years ago and didnt laminate the autograph on my pickguard and carried on playing and over time it has been rubbed off, very sad. You have any awesome relic, keep it safe!
