Counterattacking Topspins

This user has no status.
Hello guys, I trained and played matches the past two weeks and have been trying to consistently counterattack opening loops or slow topspins.

As expected I fail about 80% of all tries, and the 20% I've had success I suppose was just pure luck.

So, Pros which way you tend to it?

I've been watching Yan an, Ma Long and Fan Zhengdong which do this consistently. I've been wondering if is better to attack with sidespin strokes, or simply brush on the top of ball or even flat hitting...

Thanks!

You can learn to counterattack loop like this -
Your partner serves
You push it to his FH
He hits a topspin(not winner but with enough speed that it is not too slow and high but you can still counterattack it)
You hit the topspin to his FH
Then you continue the rally

After sometime you rotate the service and play the same stroke
This way you will learn how to hit the first counterattack loop And also you will learn how to react when your opponent is doing it to you
You will learn quickly if you just try to put the ball on the table rather than hitting winners until you achieve some consistency

EDIT

Just noticed that this is ask a pro player thread and I am not a pro[emoji28]
