the classic hurricane 3 is more sticky than the neo so it is ideal for third ball attacks, while the neo is slightly softer and faster, but has a lower arc.

I believe they have the same top sheet. The only difference is that the neo has one layer of a factory boost on it. I have not used the regular hurricane, so I cannot compare, but I do not feel booster on the neo. One layer is not enough. I'm afraid that the booster dies very quickly on the neo making the rubber more dead and requiring more booster.
