Hello TTD Members,

I am here to finally review the Hurricane 3 National (blue sponge)!

NOTE:I DID NOT TUNE THE RUBBER

OK, lets get started

The rubber came in a normal white DHS national rubber packaging.

I glued the rubber on a DHS Hurricane long 3 blade using Butterfly Free Chack.

And also cleaned with Butterfly rubber cleaner

REVIEW:

The packaging was really good and had a plastic sheet on the rubber to keep away dust.
Not as tacky as commercial hurricanes but has more grip. The sponge is very hard, I ordered a 40 degree but, got something like 50!
Forehand loop & counter loop: very spiny and fast, also somehow controllable.
Forehand Drive: Good control and reasonable speed without too much effort. (I think it is because of my blade)
Service and service return: Spiny service and good short or fast spiny service return.

Rating:
Speed: 9.2
Spin: 9.3
Control: 9.1
Tackiness: 8.3
Throw Angle: 6.2
Sponge Hardness: 8.8
Durability: 8.9
Overall: 9.2

Thank you all for reading my review, next review will be with video.

PM me for what to review next!

Where did you buy this and how much did you pay for it?

Will you boost it; do you think it's necessary to boost it?

What blade are you using it on?

Is it a Hurricane III Neo?

Seems a few people are confused about DHS models, so let me try clear that confusion

You get DHS H3 and DHS H3 Neo (or Neo H3)
Then you get commerical versions, provincial versions, national versions
Of the commericial, provincial, national, you can get different sponges
Blue sponge version is only available in provincial and national versions with black top sheet only.

So to answer some questions.
This above rubber can cost any where between $100 to $200 a sheet
The above is national
The above is a DHS Hurricane 3

Hi, thanks for your review.
Unfortunately the pics are blurry.
Do you have another one?
Pics from the sponge side (uncut) would be very interesting for us.
Mind to tell us where you get it from?

Thanks.

I've got my resident pro's that tell me that it's virtually impossible to check authenticity of a rubber using the barcodes. The barcodes have been leaked and you'll see fakes all with similar batch or barcodes which were actually taken from the real batches. So for the most part you have to trust the person you're buying from that it's legitimate. Since I know players that are high level, they can always tell if a rubber is fake or not which helps my purchasing decisions.

It is true that the code has been compromised but most fakes got fake codes that won't pass the online check. So it is still worth a try to see the result. If it say the code does not exist or had been check before than you know for sure it is fake.

Good review. I tested these rubbers on my friend's racket and it felt a bit heavy in my opinion. Do you know the weight of each individual rubber?
Hi raazzz,
Glad you enjoyed the review, my one weighed 69 grams. Hurricane usually weighs about 69-73 grams.
Once agan glad you enjoyed.

To my knowledge and you can take that with a grain of salt, the barcodes were leaked before the real ones were distributed to the pros. So if this is true, then you don't know for sure if it's a fake because the fakes may have been checked before. As for the codes not existing I'm unsure if this is also a tall tell of fakes because the players I've talked to get master packs and thus do not have barcodes to scratch off. They don't come in the paper packaging single sheets at a time they come in a box with the plastic film on it, but the rest is just in a single box of 10 or 20 forget how much a master pack is.
