Just a few days to go and the Wisdom World Junior Championships are about to start in Shanghai, China!
From November 30th till December 7th, 96 junior boys and 96 junior girl will play for the title of the Junior World Champion!
Looking back in history, the winners from

Bratislava 2010 - Song Hongyuan beat Lin Gaoyuan in the final, while Zhu Yuling beat Kasumi Ishikawa;
- Boys team China beat team Japan 3:0, but chinese girls lost 3:1 to Japan!
Manama 2011 - Lin Gaoyuan lost yet another final, this time to Koki Niwa, while Zhu Yuling lost that time to Chen Meng;
- Boys team China beat team Japan again, this time 3:1, girls from China did better job, beating Japan 3:0
Hyderabad 2012 - Lin Gaoyuan lost his third final in a row, this time to Fan Zhendong, while Zhu Yuling won her second title winning over Gu Yuting;
- Both boys and girls teams China beat teams Japan. Boys 3:1 and girls 3:0;
Rabat 2013 - Jang Woojin won title after beating Zhou Kai in the final, while Gu Yuting won her second final, this time with Liu Gaoyang.
- Boys from China after tough fight beat Japan 3:2 and girls won easily 3:0.

But this time, it all happens in China!
What will the chinese crowd do to their players?
Will we have other team final than China vs. Japan??
Last time this happened was 2009 when boys team Germany managed to get into the finals, only to lose 3:0 to China.
And in 2008 it was Korea and Romania. Boys from Korea lost in the final and girls from Romania too :)

Will these championships be different?
Maybe they will!
Lets look at the top seeds!
With the world no. 1 Fan Zhendong missing, the seeds are following:

Yuto Muramatsu from Japan and Doo Hoi Kem from Hong Kong are seeded as #1.

The ITTF will stream matches at ITTV, so we can use the integrated LIVE STREAM (http://www.tabletennisdaily.co.uk/forum/ittfstream.php?do=ittf) at TTD site.

We can use this thread to discuss about the event.

To me, this will be even more exciting, as my friend will be the only one from my country attending this event!
Fingers crossed for some great upset! ;)

Czech won the first match. And because Adriana Diaz (14 yo) lost the 3rd game, her coach (her father and father of Melanie Diaz ?) didn't want to talk to her when she came back to her camp and he sent her back to the table. http://mytabletennis.net/forum/smileys/smiley6.gif

I have to admit I hate this when this happens..
All matches 3:0 for china, all games for China..
That has to be boring even to them..
And most probably it is, because after the final point no huge CHOOO, not a sinlge YES or something..
Just one little clapping and .. yes, they won .. whatever..

So today the singles started and I am happy to see that my friend made it from the group at no. 1 position!
Beating both other boys in his group despite being no 2 in the group!
Very lucky in final stages of games winning first match 4:3 with 12:10 the 7th game and 4:2 with 12:10 last 2 games :)
I hope he can cause some huuuuuge upset in the main draw!
In fact, cant wait for it!
Anyone knows when the main draw for singles will be released? :)

Europe's results are pretty bad this year... Only Cassin is doing reasonable considering his age. Looks like the future is going to be dominated by China and Japan.

They did well in the final but in the end, they never beat any Japanese or Chinese pair. :)
They were very close .. too bad they didnt take the adwantage..
They were in the lead in sixth and seventh by attacking into the backhand of the chinese duo. They scored points but then they played few shots into their forehands, and they just dont miss forehand. Okay, Dingshuo missed few in sixth, and seventh, but mostly not. Or if he missed, it was because he was moving from backhand..
Just look at the percentage when they attacked into backhand and when they played into forehand.. its clear ;)
Too bad they didnt stick with the plan..
