Get training online by uploading videos?

Would it be possible to implement a feature on the site where you can upload a video of yourself playing and get tips on what you're doing wrong from the experts!?

I don't get any coaching and never really have so it would be good to get any advice available on what I'm doing wrongand can improve on. I'm sure there's many others in a similar situation.

Or maybe a checklist of points to remember with your technique? I do loads of stuff wrong but this is mostly because I don't always know what the correct technique is.

I will record myself in a few weeks Would be funny if you watch for mistakes in my technique But you will not find a mistake perfect clean technique

What I often see when I watch videos with myself playing, is that it looks totally different from what it feels like when I'm playing. When I think i give it a 110% I still look pretty lazy haha. Im very curious to see other peoples technique and such =).

lol, i know what you mean. But for myself I know im lazy as hell and on a video it sure looks im lazy as hell

Im tall and got long arms so i dont have to move that much ^^

Hey Dan, it would be great if you could make such a section. Im quite the beginner in Table Tennis and i don't have a personal coach. So it would be very helpful if i could post a video in the section and get some advice on my mistakes.

The club I have been playing at during the summer has begun to setup a video camera at one of the tables. And for the first time I beat the club's best player, who is rated around 2000 in terms of the USTT rating system. Its great get some concrete proof that I am definitely improving.

The game was put up on youtube, so I was finally able to see for the first what I actually looked like while playing, and to be honest, it was disappointing.... hahaha
Like I know I definitely wasn't playing bad, since I beat a 2000 level player, which in the US is the level where players start getting really good, and not just casual play, but in terms of my footwork, speed, etc, it just didn't look nearly as impressive as I had imagined myself to look like, or had hoped haha

I think it was kind of synonymous with watching too much porn. Afterwards, your view of what a girls body should look like and what sex is like is totally unrealistic compared with the normal experience. So similar to that, I have watched way too many table tennis videos on youtube of pros, and therefore their fluid movements and speed all looks so great, and in my mind I always thought I was moving pretty fast during a point, and compared with the people I usually play, thats true, but compared with what you see from the pros, it looks soooo slow..... sigh
