The team got off to the perfect start beating Generation table tennis club 10-0. It wasn't all plain sailing however, Emily Standing going deep into the 5th set against Callum Ashworth taking it 11-9. Team number 1 Anthony Kent won player of the match after a dominant performance.

The second match of the weekend was much closer. Foresters TTC, with England Junior number 2, Kate Cheer, put up a strong fight. The England international took both table tennis daily players, Thomas Jeffcott and Tom Lewis out in 5 sets.

Jeffcott made up for his loss by just beating Rebecca George in a nail biting 5th set match. With the final set score ending 21-19. Anthony Kent and Peter Ives won both of their matches again and the Match finished 6-4 to TableTennisDaily.

The second day started in a similar fashion to the first with TTD winning 9-1 against Brighton TTC. Brighton's only win was through Spanish player Pedro Santos who handed Peter Ives his only loss of the weekend, beating Ives 3-2. Player of the match was given to Thomas Jeffcott who played well winning his two matches easily 3-0.

Unfortunately his form did not continue in the final match of he weekend against a second Forrester's TTC team, where he lost both matches. Emily standing also lost her two matches against tricky opposition. However the match was saved again by Anthony Kent who carried on his winning ways. He played at the top of his game beating both Forrester's players 3-0. His last two wins giving him an 100% record for the entire weekend. This stat was made even more impressive by the fact he didn't drop a single set.

Both Standing and Jeffcott made up for their singles losses by paring up with Kent and Tom Lewis in the doubles matches winning both. Lewis played well winning one and losing one which meant the match ended in a 5-5 draw.

The three wins and one draw puts the TableTennisDaily team at second in the table behind Waterside TTC. TTD have yet to play Waterside though so winning the league is still in their grasp.

The next weekend of matches is due to be played on the 12th and 13th of November, and the team are already looking foreword to further push for promotion to National B.

TableTennisDaily would like to thank our official team sponsors at Zig Zag education and Houlihan & Co Excavations for their fantastic help and support.
