TableTennisDaily Wish Will Bayley a Speedy Recovery

Friend and ambassador for TableTennisDaily, Will Bayley, has sadly been injured and had to pull out of the top BBC show Strictly Come Dancing.



The knee injury was sustained during rehearsals for the show whilst jumping from a table during the couples Jive. Will received a bye through one week but unfortunately after the severity of the injury has now pulled out of the show all together. See part of the BBC’s statement below.



In the previous week, Will moved the audience and brought Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse to tears with their couple’s choice dance telling Will’s story growing up being born with the condition Arthrogryposis and battling cancer in Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Will now moves on to focus on Tokyo 2020 where he will be attempting to defend his Class 6 Paralympic Gold medal. We wish him a speedy recovery and all our best from the TTD community.
