This match up was epic! Incredible display of topspins by both players had the crowd on their feet! The 7th set kicked of to a flying start with flying start by Chen Qi winning the first 2 points. Samsonov pulled it back to 3-3 with some incredible blocking shots. The match then went to 4 a piece. Vladimir made some incredible touch shots which gave him the advantage in the points to take the next 2 points making it 6-4. However, determined Chen Qi focussed and one the next 2 points with amazing forehands!. This momentum carried Chen Qi a further 2 more points to make the make 8-6 in the fifth. Samsonov took the next point however it wasn't meant to be and China's Chen Qi won the match 11-9 in the seventh set.
The match went to the 7th set with Chen Qi just winnig at 11-6,6-11,6-11,14-12,6-11,11-6,9-11
